Topaz on Calcite (R)

Location: Katlang, Mardan District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, Pakistan
This topaz presents the pretty champagne color, typical of Katlang. The piece has been restored (gluing the crystal back into place on its matrix). As is often the case in this deposit, during their extraction, the crystals tend to detach from the Calcite on which they rest.
 Dimensions without the acrylic base, which is supplied with the mineralogical specimen.
The mineral is not stuck to the base (soft putty).
