| Very beautiful polished plate of Stromatolites, this one is among the oldest found (3.4 billion years) . These limestone rocks biogenic (built by bacteria) allowed the emergence of more complex life forms. These bacteria by trapping carbon created an atmosphere rich in oxygen, as well as the formation of the ozone layer…. We owe them life on earth! |
