Twinned pyrite

 Location: Victoria Mine, Navajún, La Rioja, Spain
 Navajún is the reference deposit for cubic pyrite: geometric crystals, often isolated in light-colored marl. The Victoria mine remains the primary source. Here, two neat, perfectly crystallized cubes display a beautiful metallic luster that changes with the viewing angle. They are nicely arranged in the matrix. The twinning on the main 2.3 cm crystal is clearly visible, with sharp edges.
